About Masjid Rahmah - Great America Islamic Center

Masjid Rahmah is an American faith-based, religious charitable organization that provides spaces, services and programs for holistic education and personal development for American Muslims; following a moderate understanding of Islam stemming from the Quran and the teachings of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).


Masjid Rahmah offers Muslim Community of Lake County a 500-space prayer hall with an established throughout the year – five daily prayers, Juma Prayer, Taraveeh Prayer, Eid Ul-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha Prayers.


Qurbani Services are facilitated on Masjid Grounds for all Muslim Communities in the Chicagoland area.


Masjid Rahmah inculcates in Musallis the understanding to focus on reconciling faith with contemporary challenges, providing a clear articulation of balance, tolerance and moderation. This understanding encourages constructive engagement in society and focuses on personal and communal empowerment to contribute towards the development of healthy societies.


Masjid Rahmah strives on building communities and strengthening neighborhoods in and around Lake County of Illinois through services and collaborations with groups from different religious, ethnic, and racial backgrounds.


Masjid Rahmah propagates collective efforts of the Muslim Community in the region deliberating to positively impact peace and harmony in our County.


Our Mission is to establish an Islamic presence in America that is balanced, constructive, and integrated, though distinct, in the social fabric and culture of United States of America.


Our Vision is to contribute to:
